Dr Gavriel (Gav) Schneider is the Group Managing Director and Chair of the Board of Risk 2 Solution Group, and a globally recognised leader in human-based risk management, security, resilience, and the psychology of risk. He is the creator of the Presilience® framework, a pioneering approach focused on anticipation, adaptation, and proactive decision-making in complex and uncertain environments.

Under Gav’s leadership, Risk 2 Solution Group has grown to become Australia’s most awarded integrated cyber and physical risk organisation, delivering innovative solutions across risk, resilience, cyber, intelligence, safety, security, medical, and emergency response domains. The development of Presilience® led to the business being recognised among Australia’s most innovative companies at the AFR Innovation Awards.

A serial entrepreneur, Gav has conducted business in more than 17 countries and worked with a diverse client base spanning government, defence, critical infrastructure, education, and blue-chip private organisations. His work bridges frontline operational experience, executive leadership, and rigorous academic research, enabling organisations to translate risk intelligence into sustainable performance and opportunity.

In addition to his executive leadership roles, Gav is a respected academic and researcher. He serves as Director of the Postgraduate Psychology of Risk program at the Australian Catholic University and is a senior researcher with the Australian Security Research Centre.

Gav is also a widely published author and thought leader in risk and resilience.
