Risk 2 Solution Group Enters a New Era of Growth and Strategic Maturity

The Risk 2 Solution (R2S) Group is proud to announce a significant milestone in its evolution, marking the beginning of a new chapter defined by foresight, deliberate growth, and long-term strategic maturity.

After years of careful planning and organisational development, R2S Medical and Emergency Response and the AMRA Agency will transition to operate independently from the Risk 2 Solution Group. This evolution reflects the original long-term intent behind their establishment and enables both organisations to pursue focused growth strategies aligned to their specialised missions.

The Risk 2 Solution Group acknowledges and thanks Brett Ferguson, Director of R2S Medical and Emergency Response and the AMRA Agency, and Wayne Thurston, General Manager, for the trusted and highly effective working relationship shared over recent years. Their leadership and commitment have played a key role in the growth of both organisations, and the Group warmly wishes them continued success in this next chapter.

Following this transition, the Risk 2 Solution Group will continue to comprise Risk 2 Solution (Pty) Ltd, R2S Training & Education (RTO 4785), and R2S Consulting. Together, these entities form a strong, integrated platform dedicated to building capability, preparedness, and adaptive capacity across complex and high-risk environments.

This strategic separation is complemented by a leadership restructure designed to position the Group for its next phase of impact and expansion.

Founder and current CEO Dr Gav Schneider will assume the role of Group Managing Director and Chair of the Board, continuing to steward the Group’s long-term vision, governance, and strategic direction.

Dave Cohen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, with a mandate to strengthen integration across the Group, scale presilience-led services, deepen partnerships, and ensure the organisation remains future-ready in an increasingly complex risk environment. His focus will be on translating foresight into action by aligning people, systems, and strategy to drive sustainable growth and measurable impact.

Outgoing Chief Operating Officer Nicole Sofianos will transition into the role of Executive Director and Strategic Advisor, continuing to provide strategic insight, continuity, and guidance as the organisation evolves.

Kandia Du Bruyn will step into the role of Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for operational performance, systems, and scalable growth to support the Group’s expanding footprint.
